Anthony Marro

Anthony became interested in music at the age of 7, watching his older brothers play guitar in several bands.  He grew up on the current pop and rock bands at the time, but as he progressed in the guitar, he realized most songs were based on classical music.  Upon entering middle school and high school, Anthony began studying music with local teachers from his area, and finally went on to study at the university level.

Anthony holds a Master Degree in Science along with a Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Fine Arts from Montclair State University. He has been teaching modern guitar techniques for over 10 years. Anthony teaches levels from beginners to advanced, and enjoys all styles of music from: rock, pop, jazz, to classical. He is working on projects with local musicians using electronic music that involves state of the art computers and electronic instruments. Anthony’s computer science and technology background provides an additional benefit to his students and peers.  He also has experience working with autistic children.

Anthony has been teaching toddlers to senior citizens and enjoys working with all age groups. He wants his students to really think about music and apply this to all forms of art and science.  “Everything we do in life should be accomplished with our absolute best effort.” Anthony believes all people are unique in their talents, and tries to bring out the best in each person by understanding the students abilities and interests.  Each student has his or her own goals and reasons for studying the Arts; therefore each lesson plan is designed for the individual student.
