Welcome to the official website of Tenafly Music Academy! I am proud to make a unique contribution to Tenafly and the surrounding towns through the quality of our teachers combined with the affordability of private lessons at our school. Our philosophy is to make the finest music education available to as many people as possible, of all ages and backgrounds. I’ve wanted to open a music school ever as long as I can remember. Now, many years later, I’ve realized my dream.

Why study music? So many reasons, little and big. It’s good for the brain. I think everyone knows that using both hands in coordination helps to exercise the mind (right and left brain). Also, continued practice of discipline with time, analytical skills, intuition, fingers, breath, and body develops a healthy sense of control and the refinement of a complete human being. Classical music in particular has more steady beats and, amidst this ever-increasingly frenetic and technology-driven era, can bring on a very basic level much-needed comfort, beauty and balance to all our lives.
